Ich bin ein Berliner

Thanks to JFK for uttering the words "Ich bin ein Berliner," thus immortalizing Americans as jelly donuts to virtually all Germans. Today however, I am the jelly donut. I missed the bus I usually catch so I rode downtown to catch a later one. The driver didn't get breakfast so he asked me if I was OK with him stopping to get something. I said yes and we stopped in front of Vosen's Bread Paradise (~280 W. 200 S., go here if you get a chance!). I decided I needed something too and as we opened the door, the smell of dense, rich German bread hit me like a brick wall. I wanted one of each.
I finally decided on a Hazelnut Danish and a "Berliner", or jelly filled donut covered in powdered sugar. See it below in all it's cell-phone-pic glory. What a way to start a morning!
BTW, this post was published to the web while on the bus. Thnaks for the wi-fi UTA!

I love bread and various pastries. There is a scandanavian bakery in Sugarhouse somewhere, my mom always makes sure to stop and visit when she's in town. She has friends from Norway that own it. There are few things in life as good as that first smell walking into a bakery.

Yum, you'll have to tell us where it's at so we can go there. Is it Finn's Cafe by chance? If so, that's who sponsors the club team that I've been on.

Brad you've got to learn to take a joke... I was just try'n to plays the devils advocate over there on bloggie style and you had to go and get all serious one me. Oh and by the way no ones vote REALLY counts unless, you can convince others to vote for your candidate as well.

Brad-
Not connected to your post. I was just wondering if you might be able to change the air filter in our unit at West Gate some time? Are you and Gina still in SLC? Let me know if you'll be around and i'll set up a time that is convenient for you and Erhan.
Thanks man.
Taylor.
p.s. how is the med school process treating you?

Hey Taylor,
Yes, I can change the filter for you no problem. I'm out of town all this week, but when I get back I can do it. I need to go show my new tenant how to do it in my place too. Do you have an extra filter?

I didn't apply to med school again, I'm just working right now and applying to the PMST program at the U. I'll see how that goes, then go from there.

Hey man,
I thought we had an extra but Helene reminds me that we don't. We'll send you a check to cover the filter and a little extra for your help. How is your new tenant and how is life back there? (we do miss it a little)
Email me when you get back in town. I don't have your address.
Thanks bro.
